Councillor Vacancy
Following the resignation of Roger Sivieri as he has moved out of the village, there is now a vacancy for a Councillor. The Parish Council wishes Roger well and thanks him for his contribution to Edingale.
The following Notice has been displayed in the Notice Board in Croxall Road. If there are less than 10 requests for an election the existing Cllrs will be able to fill the vacancy by co-option at a Parish Council meeting. NOTICE OF CASUAL VACANCY
(Local Government Act 1972)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a vacancy has arisen in the office of Councillor for the Parish of Edingale.
An election will be held to fill the vacancy if so requested by TEN local government electors for the parish. Such request must be in writing and must be delivered to the Returning Officer, District Council House, Frog Lane, Lichfield, WS13 6YU within fourteen days from the date of this notice (calculated in accordance with the Local Elections (Parish and Communities) Rules 1986 (as amended).
If no election is requested the vacancy will be filled by the Parish Council in accordance with the said Rules.

Becoming a parish councillor is a rewarding and valued form of public service. Councillors contribute to the work of the Parish Council by:
• Having a say about the things they care about
• Putting forward ideas for better services
• Responding to the needs and views of parishioners
• Seeking the best outcome to local issues
• Getting involved in decision making
• Helping to make Edingale a better place to live
We normally meet on the first Monday of each month, (except August). Meeting are held at 7.30 pm at Edingale Village Hall and last up to two hours. Councillors are expected to attend meetings on a regular basis.
